Delete your account and data
This page explains how to delete a Master Wine account and everything linked to it. You only have an account if you chose to sign in with Google or Apple; without one, the app stores nothing on our servers.
Option 1: in the app (instant)
- Open Master Wine and go to the Crew tab.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This erases your account, the copy of your voyage in our database and everything the app keeps on that device. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2: by email
If you no longer have the app, email assafelal06@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Master Wine account, from the address you signed in with. We delete the account and its data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Delete only part of your data (keep your account)
- Reset my voyage (Crew → gear → Settings) clears your study progress and keeps your name and settings. While you are signed in, the cleared voyage replaces the copy in your account the next time the app syncs.
- To have specific data erased from our servers without deleting the account, for example your bottles and tasting notes, email assafelal06@gmail.com with the subject Delete part of my Master Wine data, from the address you signed in with, and say what to remove. We do it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
- Contact info: your name and email address.
- Identifiers: your user ID and the installation ID used for sync.
- Your study progress, and the bottles and tasting notes you entered.
Bottle photos never leave your device, so they are not on our servers. Delete them with the app (Settings → Delete all my data) or by removing the app. We keep no copy of an account's data after deletion.
Without an account
If you never signed in, nothing is stored on our servers. To clear everything on your device, use Settings → Delete all my data, or delete the app.
Your Google or Apple sign-in
Deleting the account does not change your Google or Apple account. If you also want to remove Master Wine's sign-in access, do it in your Google Account (Security → Third-party access) or your Apple ID settings.
